SteelSeries QcK – DV Hardware Product Inbox

DHL dropped off another package today which contained the SteelSeries QcK mousepad.

I’ve already reviewed dozens of mousepads on DV Hardware but this is the first one that is made out of cloth.

The SteelSeries QcK-line of mousepads are made of high quality cloth material, providing a precise and consistent glide. All mousepads feature a specially designed non-slip rubber base which prevents the pads from sliding, no matter what surface the mousepad is placed on.

The mousepads differ in dimensions and thickness, but not in precision, glide or quality. As some of the mousepads are very large, we highly recommend measuring how much space you have on your desktop before ordering.

Bad experiences with cloth mousepads made most gamers switch to hard plastic mousepads so it will be interesting to see if this cloth mousepad from SteelSeries can compete against their other mousepads like the SteelSeries S&S.

  1. I reviewed the QCK Heavy a while back and I quite liked it for a cloth mousepad, I think the only diff between the qck and the heavy is the thickness… I used to like cloth pads, but I’ve grown rather fond of hard surface types..but still though the Qsk is a very good pad… currently using the Icemat 2nd edition with my G5 Rev2 with an Xtrac Ripper XXL deskpad underneath the Icemat and keyboard

  2. I also prefer mousepads with a hard surface. I’ve already used the QcK for a couple of hours and while it’s better than most cloth mousepads it’s not as good as a hard plastic one.
