Carmen and I booked our holiday trip this weekend, in July we’re heading to Lanzarote for one week. We’ll be staying at the H10 Rubicon Palace hotel near Playa Blanca at this island, which is the easternmost of the Canary Islands. The Canary Islands are an archipelago of several volcanic islands that belong to Spain. Lanzarote is located about 125 kilometers of the west coast of Africa and has a mild and subtropical climate.

During our stay at Lanzarote we’ll probably visit the Timanfaya National Park, this location features a stunning lunar landscape and some of the Mordor scenes in Lord of the Rings were shot over there.
