I’m just back home from Pukkelpop, this year is already the sixth time we went to this festival. We left around 7 AM on Thursday and arrived in Kiewit a bit more than 2.5 hours later. From there it’s a short walk to the festival and camping area.
Carmen and I set up our tent at the campsite and a couple of hours later the first bands started playing. Contrary to other years this year it was pretty dry, we had very little rain.
The Mainstage
Skate Stage
Boiler and Dance Hall
I’m too lazy to write a big report (+ I still have a lot of work to do) so lets take a quick look at which bands we’ve seen (or partly seen) during the last three days:
Day 1
The Draft
Editors
Fall Out Boy
I’m from Barcelona
Kaiser Chiefs
Soulfly
Day 2
The Van Jets
Funeral For a Friend
Within Temptation
The Smashing Pumpkins
Day 3
Sparta
The End
The Streets
From Autumn to Ashes
Enter Shikari
Lacuna Coil
Nine Inch Nails
Tool
Some more photos I took with my cameraphone:
Kaiser Chiefs. Their singer Ricky Wilson decided to do some climbing, not sure how high he got but I think it was at least about 3-4 meter:
Rigatoni:
You can get all kinds of food at Pukkelpop including fries, pizza, spaghetti and other kinds of pasta, kebab, bbq, sandwiches, ice cream, … Most of this stuff is pretty expensive for what you get.
Within Temptation
Lacuna Coil:
It’s hard to choose but I think the Kaiser Chiefs’ gig was the best one I saw this year.
