Kameraflage images – only visible through a digital camera

A company called Kameraflage introduced a new display technology which can only be seen with digital cameras.

This content can’t bee seen by the naked eye but can be picked up with a digital camera because silicon-based imaging apparatus are capable of seeing a broader spectrum of light than the human eye.

One of the cool but rather useless applications of the technology is in fashion, like this t-shirt:

Gizmodo says the technology could also be used to combat piracy. Pirate groups use camcorders to tape new movies and then release CAM or TS versions on the Internet, mostly only a couple of days after the movie is released. This technology could prevent this by using an invisible light projector to put a big watermark on films in theaters.
