Random bits & bytes #1

Just finished a review of one of OCZ’s new products – the Vendetta HSF. This heatsink has some interesting features like three big heatpipes that make direct contact with your processor. The performance of this cooler isn’t stellar but it’s low price and relatively compact size make up for it. With “relatively compact” I mean the cooler is pretty small compared to some of the larger processor coolers available on the market.
Compared to heatsinks you saw on processors from more than 10 years ago the Vendetta is pretty huge of course. A couple of days ago I also finished my review of the SilverStone MFP51 multimedia LCD display and now it’s time to start testing some 800MHz CL3 DDR2 memory from OCZ.
Within a couple of weeks DV Hardware will also publish a slightly NSFW review of a high-tech gadget for girls. The product I’m talking about is the OhMiBod, also known as the “iPod vibrator”
This product won’t be tested by myself of course.
Besides all my daily routine I’m also going to test some affiliate marketing campaigns over the next few weeks. For this experiment I’m going to try some affiliate offers from Tradedoubler. The reason I chose this firm is because I want to try some offers that target Flanders and Tradedoubler seems to be one of the only networks that has a decent amount of affiliate offers for this region. If this works out well I’m also going to try some offers that target the Netherlands.
One of the reasons why I’m going to try dutch affiliate offers is because this is my first language but also because I believe there’s less competition in this market. The Dutch market is smaller (about 22 million people) than the U.S. or U.K. but the lower amount of competition should make up for it – or that’s at least what I hope
