The News Agency of Nigeria reported last week that Nigerian schoolchildren are using the computers they’ve received from the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project to surf to pornographic sites.

NAN said its reporter had seen pornographic images stored on several of the children’s laptops.”Efforts to promote learning with laptops in a primary school in Abuja have gone awry as the pupils freely browse adult sites with explicit sexual materials,” NAN said.

Looks like the Nigerian kids have finally discovered what the Internet is really for.

Unfortunately the fun won’t last, an OLPC representative said the computers would soon get filters which will block pornographic websites.
