Live Free or Die Hard review

Live Free or Die HardOne of the things I like a lot are movies and TV shows. I watch quite a lot of movies and I’m also addicted to a bunch of TV shows like 24, Battlestar Galactica, Jericho, Heroes, LOST, Prison Break, Stargate, CSI and South Park.
Today I’ve seen Live Free or Die Hard (which is also known as Die Hard 4.0). This is the fourth movie in the Die Hard series which stars Bruce Willis as the nearly indestructible John McClane. Fans of Die Hard had to wait quite some years for this movie. Die Hard was released in 1988, Die Hard 2 in 1990 and Die Hard: With a Vengeance in 1995, leaving a 12 year gap between the third and fourth movie.

In Die Hard 4.0 all hell brakes loose when a bunch of cyber terrorists initiate a “fire sale” attack on vital networks in the U.S. to disrupt transportation, disable all public utilities, steal and destroy financial records and create fear by taking over the media and spreading fake broadcasts.

Before I watched this movie I had heard lots of positive things about it, with some people claiming this is the movie of the year. After watching it I think the movie is a bit overrated, over at IMDB it currently has a rating of 8.1/10 but I only give it a 7/10.

It’s a nice action movie, with humour and some nice one-liners but many scenes are way over-the-top. I can come up with a whole list of these scenes but it’s probably not a good idea to list them here as it would spoil the movie for people who haven’t seen him yet
